Meet the Vocation Minister

Sister Marcy Romine, OSF

Peace and all good to you as you take a peek at our website and this page in particular. My name is Sister Marcy Romine, OSF, and, as the Vocation Minister for my community, I invite you to take some time to check us out in this virtual world of cyberspace.

We Sisters love our lives as we strive to respond to the needs of society in the way that Jesus did in His time and place. We invite you to join us in this great call by becoming one of us, a Franciscan Sister of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We also respond to God’s call to be transformative both in Church and society in the style of Francis and Clare of Assisi in whose spirit we follow. In addition, we have committed ourselves to promote

Care for Earth as Francis called all of creation as brother or sister.

In obedience to the Church’s call to be faithful to the spirit of our founders, we witness to the Gospel in the ways we, as vowed women, share a common life and are a Franciscan presence in this world. You’ll come to a greater awareness of how holiness can be expressed in various ways once you’ve looked at the rest of our website. In many ways of ministry and presence, we witness the love that God has for those whom He has created and who long to experience that love. Such is our gift at this time and place in our Church and society.

If you’d like more information about what it takes to become a Sister of ours, I’d love to connect with you through e-mail and/or phone conversation in the hopes that, in time, we can meet each other in person. I invite you to contact me or call me at 314-965-3700 to begin.

Francis’ Prayer
before the Crucifix

All-highest, glorious God, cast your light into the darkness of my heart.

Give me right faith, firm hope, perfect charity and profound humility, with wisdom and perception, O Lord, so that I may do what is truly your holy will.

Amen.
